Community Services provided by CPHHA include:
Red Cross Blood Drive
Every three months, CPHHA sponsors a blood drive in collaboration with the local Red Cross. This effort has been a success with our staff and county residents stopping by the office to donate to such a worthy cause.
Flu Immunization
Every fall, CPHHA coordinates mass immunization sites in the tri-county area. Our staff works with local hospitals and health departments to provide injections to county residents. In addition, CPHHA staff administers flu injections to homebound patients and their caregivers.
Blood Pressure and Health Promotion Events
Throughout the year, CPHHA staff provides screenings at health fairs and community activities throughout the tri-county area. Staff provides education to seniors about a variety of topics including home safety and community resources.
Ostomy Support Group
CPHHA is fortunate to have an Enterostomal Therapist on staff. She is a nurse who has received specialized training in the care of ostomies and wound care. Quarterly, the agency hosts an Ostomy Support Group at the Hughesville office. The meetings provide support and education to county residents and their caregivers with ostomies. |
